christmas trees

went tree shopping today.
found an absolutely fantastic tree.
for under $10!

but no.
this isn’t the one we got.

neither are these.
(but they sure do taste yummy)

guess you’ll just have to come back another day to see our fantastic tree find.

my ‘one of a kind’ experience | vancouver 2011

spent most of my last 2 days at the one of a kind show.
its hard work pretending to be my sister.
feels good when people compliment me on my (her) work & tell me how awesome it is.
but then when they ask me what inspires me, how i paint them, etc…
thats when i say ‘oh the artist is actually my sister, not me.’

i did, however, get to show off my pretend talent & paint a little bit.
raw canvas had a little booth where you could paint on a big shared canvas.
with wine in hand, of course.

my 2 little blue birds may not be frameable or sellable, but i’m pretty stoked about them.

there are so many more vendors i loved, but i am too tired to remember them right now.

tomorrow (sunday) december 11, 2011 from 10am until 5pm.
i promise you will find some fantastic christmas (or just because) presents.

no more autumn

autumn passed by quickly.
(not quite as quickly as summer did).
but my new boots make me happy enough (i guess) to venture through winter.
so far they have been treating me well.
except for that one day i was walking in ankle deep slush on mount seymour.
thankfully that won’t become a habit of mine.

a tiny preview of a photo session i did last week.
this little family was SO MUCH FUN.
3 year olds are the best.
first time i met her,
i walked in the door & she asked me “do you want a marble?”
second time i met her,
at the end of our session, she told me “i love you!”
i wanted to keep her.
