we’ve had some beautiful summer weather lately, but it’s still spring.
below are some absolutely gorgeous blossoms from a few weeks ago.

was a lot of fun hanging out with another photographer.

but we also took them to a few of my favorite vancouver hangouts (though they aren’t all pictured below).
revolver, old faithful shop, cartems, cafe medina, jj bean… just to name a few.
and a new one for me, union wood co. (thanks brandon for the intro!) their work is just incredible.

asked me to take photos of the blossoms for her.
et voila:
i’m really picky with granola.
i dislike most of the ones in stores.
my mom used to make the best granola.
the best.
(probably in part because of all the sugar in it.)
found a recipe that was a little less sweet than my mom’s
(i still love you mom!)
but because i forgot how easy granola is,
it took me about 1/2 a year to get around to making it.
(been on my ‘to do’ list for a … long while)
serious.
finally did it last week.

on sunday night,
i was excited for the engagement photo session monday.
a sunny day,
mr weather network told me.
woke up monday morning:
snow.
glorious snow.
never thought i was an ice cream person.
i eat it too slowly.
often hurts my teeth.
too many icky ingredients.
chemical stabilizers, etc.
but then.
i met earnest.
the beautiful ice cream.
in a jar.
i interviewed earnest ice cream,
and wrote a blog post,
for the dirty apron.
